The 8 x 8 Collection was born from Nike’s desire to collaborate with eight Chicago-based designers, creating colourways inspired by the Windy City’s transit line hues. Sheila Rashid is one of the eight creatives who teamed up with the brand to create this distinctive split grey and purple interpretation of the Air Jordan 1 mid-top. Known as the Denim Queen of Chicago, the colour block layout highlights Rashid’s boldness and creativity. It’s unlike any other AJ1 design you’ll have in your rotation, as the split design features a rugged grey suede at the rear before being split with a vibrant yet smooth purple leather at the toe. The gradient laces create a more unique sneaker style, ensuring no one overlooks the cool design as you walk down the street.
